We went to our first Oktoberfest on Oregon Ave. on Saturday around 2pm and boy was it crowded. I managed to get a small space at the wiener dog race track while my wife went for beer. It took her half an hour to get two beers. Nearly impossible to walk without spilling your beverage or stepping on a dog or a kid. The smart people hung out in the overlooking parking garage. We had a good time but didn't stay long (or buy food or more beer). They really need to block off an additional street next year. Some of my best (ahem) dog shots came from hanging out on the sidewalk.
