Am looking at some houses in Mountain View / Hawaiian Acres.
To get to the house- once you get off H11, you have to go through a couple of miles on a very small road. The road goes up and down like a mini roller coaster. Would this be a problem when it rain heavily??

Would the roller coaster road mean that it can flood?
Would a small compact car be able to get through such a condition??
If I buy a truck or suv, will it then has no problem handling such condition?

Btw- what happen when a car come from the opposite direction? The road is only big enough to fit one car. I dont really see enough space on the side for one car to pull over and yield to the other car

Yes. There are a few well known and published flood areas.
It is no joke. There have been many attempts over the years
to correct the issue, which was also made worse by a developer's
flood wall.

Yes, it means potential flooding. I have had friends in Hawaiian Acres and Orchidland who have been unable to get to work on days when we've had particularly heavy rains. (There's a reason I drive a Jeep, even though I'm a Realtor! It has come in handy on many, many occasions in Puna!)
