Single-family homes sales on Hawaii’s Big Island soar in January
single-family homes on Hawaii's Big Island jumped 30 percent in January, when compared with the same month the year before, while the median price rose 9 percent, according to
Hawaii Information Service on behalf of Hawaii Island Realtor and included Puna which recorded the highest number of sales: 47 single-family homes sold, a 47 percent increase from the 32 homes sold in January 2014. Median price in the Puna district rose 16 percent to $186,270, from $160,000 in January last year.
And it's not only the Big Island:
median price of a condominium on Kauai rose 39 percent in January on fewer sales, while sales of single-family homes increased by 65 percent, according to the
Hawaii Information Service
