I do not really no how to get started and am wondering if anyone has an advice on an afordable one bedroom place, how to get in contact with a possible roommate, where to find work once i get there, and anything else i might need to no. If you can help it would really help me out.

What island are you interested in?
Have you ever been to Hawaii?
What kind of work are you looking for?
Why do you want to live in Hawaii?

1) Use the search feature at the top of this page to find many threads that might apply to your situation. Search "living in Hilo" or "moving to the Big Island" or "employment on the Big Island" etc.

2) Research rentals at craigslist: big island classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events and Hawaii Tribune-Herald :: Hilo, Hawaii

3) Make sure you have a realistic budget/savings to get you here and allow you to get settled and go through a job search process that may take some time. Again, there are a number of threads that deal with this, so use this forum and other online resources to research, then let us know what specific questions you might have about the ins and outs of moving.

Good luck!

Default Easy Breezy...

Hey Brah, just close your eyes and let your finger land somewhere on some island. Then you pack up and go. It will all fall into place for you. Hawaii is the land of dreams and opportunity.

A hui hou!
