Aloha. A job offer has me scrambling to find a rental in Naahelu area. What is the best way to find a 3 to 6 month rental in this area. My web searches and Craigslist have not been very fruitful. I am coming from the Bay Area, but have lived on Oahu previously. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You can look use Craigslist to search by town names in that area. You can also contact some of the real estate office in the Ka'u area that either handle rentals or may know of rentals available and you can also go into Facebook and join some of the buy/sell/trade and community pages for the areas you are looking at.

Julie Enriques with The Land Office in Na’alehu handles rentals. You might try looking at vacation rentals and see if someone will be willing to do a three month rental for a monthly rate.
