Seeking work trade situation

( or possibly super small slice on a section of land for downpayment and monthly work)

Couple seeks 40hrs monthly Work/Live Trade (Hamakua Coast)


We have lived here for a while and still looking for an opportunity to work doing gardening, greenhouse food production, and general up keep for someone that could use help. Hamakua coast is lovely and we have found most reasonable/established work trade places except 10-15 hrs a week.. that’s great. (I personally generally do few hours daily along with big projects that go well beyond 40 hrs a month).

We have acquired almost all items to be self sufficient and off grid. Having a pre-established roof over our heads would be ideal however we have a livable mobile unit that can be used in the interim. (Possibly build tiny home or small cabin)

Ideal- To provide food and do farm work. We are omnivores. Enjoy doing hands on work. Always looking to create sustainability on the homestead mentality.

Both of us have time we spend at our work endeavors. Needing small dog friendly situation. We are middle aged and moderately educated. We don’t belong to any religious affiliations, celebrate holidays, or bother with others affairs unless directly involved. 420 friendly. We are respectful and grateful.

Please contact if you’ve got room for two that could really use a place that feels like a home. We are seeing security and offer pleasant vibes and hard work!

Possibly in this case you won't get much help for finding a place along the Hamakua Coast from City Data forum posts. AFAIK, there's not very many folks in this area who are farmers and looking for help and are also on City Data. Posting in Craig's List, FB Marketplace or some of the other social media specific to this area may be more effective.


Also, finding the local bulletin boards and posting something there may be of some use. Usually this sort of thing is handled by the coconut wireless, but in this Time of Covid, there's a lot less gathering and exchanging information. I'm cut off from about 60% of the usual information flow since a lot of this sort of thing is from chatting with folks and isn't online.


Not being part of a group is also against you in this case. Usually, you'd go to whatever social groups you have and ask around there to see who knows of a space.
