Been a long time since I've been back in Kau, plan on moving to Oceanview by the end of the year, just getting ducks in a row.

One thing - internet.
Has access or quality changed in the past few years? Last I was there the only thing available was Aloha Broadband and while the services was fine during the day, it was horrible at night when you "really" want to use it. Has it gotten better? Or are there other options now?

And while kind of on the subject, has cell service gotten better? When I was there last I could not get a signal at Mehe's (I use Verizon). Is AT&T a better option for that area or did the new tower (from 5 years ago??) help?

Howzit? Internet has gotten WAY better depending on where your going to be at. Hawaiian Telcom installed fiber optic cables about 2 years ago in most of the lower/middle portion of HOVE. You can call them or go online to see if it's available in your area. One thing to note, Hawaiian telecom uses naalehu's zip code when searching for an address they service in Ocean view so use that instead of the OV zip or just call it's easier. Speeds are way faster and the price is much more reasonable than Aloha broadband but they gotta have the line passing by your house to be able to get it. No installation fee either. Cell service is still spotty I'm pretty sure Verizon had the best service here that's what I got. If you get internet tho, most cell phones allow you to use wifi to make regular phone calls so you'd be able to call people while your at home at least.
