Is anyone here into falconry? I am looking into getting into the sport, it looks like a lot of fun, but also a lot of work. Here are two videos from my local falconry club.
You don't say how much you know about it.
In order to become a falconer, you need to apprentice with someone who is already certified.
Once certified, you will need to set up a proper living space for a falcon. Then to acquire a falcon you will have to put your name on a list and wait.
Falcons and other birds of prey have guardians and not owners. When a falconer can no longer keep a falcon, or wants to change their bird of prey, they put the bird up for transfer.
To get to the point of actually having a falcon can take years.
