bogart is a VERY lucky grey!
we used to have a guy that would come to our store with a lovvie, he was wing clipped but otherwise loose, would ride in his pocket/hoodie/shoulder ect...very bonded...he had him for 10 years...then one day he came in without him.

even with his wings clipped a passing dog spooked him and he got just enough lift to get into a nearby tree, a stray cat got to him before they could coax him down :/

^ yep thats what I am talking about. Birds spook easily, doesn't take much.

This is why my birds aren't allowed out of the house without their flight suits, and even then we have a good hold on the leash, we rarely do it anymore because I've even heard of birds being plucked right off their owners. My birds are too small to fend for themselves as it is and they are happy inside. When a bird flies by the window OUTSIDE they freak out.

This is also why there are tons of wild parrots out and about now.
