We all know that albinos, whether it's mammals or budgies, are sensitive to the sun, even if they are from tropical areas. But, how about lutinos (budgies)? Are they sensitive to the sun like the albinos or are they more like the regular green?

Not in my experience. I have raised lutino lovebirds, budgies, ringneck parakeets and cockatiels. None of which were not sunlight tolerant.

Personally, the only albinos that I ever raised were budgies. They were not overly sensitive to sunlight either. I kept them in the same aviary with all my other budgies with a covered roof and shadecloth on the sides.
