I found a baby pigeon today and my neighbors cat was most definitely going to kill it. We don't have a clue where it came from because there are no nests in our shed. The thing doesn't move on its own. I watched some videos today and I believe it is a week old. Pretty ugly thing I must add. Would have had no idea it was a pigeon if someone else didn't tell me. Anyways people give them milk, oats bread, bird seed and a whole bunch of random stuff. I'm just wondering what other people feed pigeons, how often, and how much? Humane society isn't open this weekend. Any help appreciated.

You can buy baby bird formula at Petsmart. That will be the easiest thing to try to feed it. You also need a syringe to drop the food into the bird's mouth. There are directions on the container. The bird also needs to be kept warm, especially if it has no feathers yet.

You can check with a vet if you are not able to properly to take care of it and they should be able to help you find a local bird rescue center.

Here's some information from an area wild bird rescue/rehabilitation center:

Le Nichoir - I Found A Baby Bird

The poor little bird isn't a 'thing' - your neighbour's cat is! I loathe marauding cats. Our next door neighbour lets her cat roam at all hours, too.
