I went over to my neighbor's house today to feed his dog while he is away.

The strangest thing happened, as I was unlocking the front door, an immature
young blue jay sat in the garden bed not 2 feet from me. I started talking to
it, very gently of course. I swear that bird was listening. Bird moved it's head
to look at me, I was so humbled by it's not showing fear.

It was pooping all over the statue it perched on, so I figured it was able to eat
okay. It was a complete surprise, I know they are aggressive but I just happen
to love blue jays. They remind me of a wild bird version of a parrot. They just
seem so intelligent to me.

We love Blue Jays and all sorts of wild birds. We sit out on our porch after work every day and watch the birds on our lawn. I own 2 male finches. Birds are my life.
