ARG!! Oh man, do I ever dislike dealing with the DMV. I am TRYING to get my AL state drivers license, but I can't find anywhere on the website that tells me exactly where to go. It says that all new ID's must be issued at the "Trooper's Station." But it doesn't say where this is--and when I asked for help with the link provided, a lady emailed me back with the website address I was already looking at! That's all...no directions or anything. Maybe I am completely overlooking it, and if so, I apologize in advance for being an idiot. Can someone PLEASE tell me where exactly I need to go to get my DL? I know all about what documentation to bring, but just need the location. Thank you so much!!

You can go to any of these locations...

Alabama Department of Public Safety (http://www.dps.state.al.us/driverlicense/dlofficeschedule.aspx - broken link)

If you're in Birmingham, you're wanting the one off Arkadelphia Road (i.e., Bankhead Hwy, i.e. US 78):

908 Bankhead Hwy W.
Birmingham, AL 35204

It's Exit 123, Arkadelphia Road, off I-20/59. It's the first exit west of the 20/59 and 65 interchange.
