I live in Greenville Ms and my family met my sister and her family (from Murfreesboro TN) at Oak Mntn State Park on Friday thru Sunday for a TENT camping trip. It was a wonderful time. There were tons of bikers (some where quiet reckless though), tons of hikers, bike riding, people enjoying the lake areas, etc..

On Friday night, my older teen and his uncle caught a GREAT concert at the Verizon Music Amphitheater. The rest of us caught the Hoover vs Spain Park game and on Saturday night a crew of us went to the Alabama State Fair while my DH hung around the camp and enjoyed 3 football games on someone's satellite (invited, of course).

The golf course was PACKED on Sunday and was gorgeous. We didnt play golf but just my observation.

It was a WONDERFUL time. This is more of an informational post and I hope it is helpful for people like me who LOVE the Brimingham area but just aren't quite sure of where to find outdoor recreational activities.

I am still hoping to get my husband to move us to the HOOVER area after this current school year is over.
