We just moved to Bham and looking for a pre-school for our 4 yrs old son. We just bought a house in Vestavia area around Rocky Ridge Rd. My big son will be going to Pizitz and our little guy will be going to Vestavia-East Elementery next year. Until then we need a good preschool for him. Can anybody recommend us a preschool around those schools areas or some what close please. Thank you so very much for all your recommendations.

I hear that Ascension Episcopal and St Marks Methodist both have good pre-school programs.

Are there any private day care/preschools around same areas. I did check those two places this morning and they said I might bit little late to register, they cannot promise him a place. So I am interested find him a private school also as an option. Thanks again. Those locations were great by the way.

Let's see. Try this link:

Preschools - Vestavia Hills, AL - al.com

There's one on the list that we liked a lot: Shades Mountain Independent Church on Tyler Road. Mind you, they are a bit heavy on the fundamentalist side, maybe leaning towards Branch Davidian, but they have a great youth program. My kids went there for their summer camp and loved it. I bet their pre-school is just as good.

Another that we liked is Cahaba Heights United Methodist, but that might a longer drive for you. We had our kids in there and liked it a good deal.

As for the rest, I'm not sure. It's really a matter of where you feel comfortable. Good luck!

I just enroll my little guy in Vestavia Day School in Kentucky Avenue St. It is actually right cross from the Vestavia East Elementary and it is part of the church. But I am still open for any private school suggestions. My older son went to Oddssesy Early Learning Centre in Inverness area long long time ago when we leave here before. And I should say, that was a great great school, but they don't have another branch around Vestavia sadly. So, If any one out there know other day schools that will be great help. Thanks a million.
