85 new jobs! Good thing that there are plans to widen Hwy 52. This was the site of what would have been another shopping center, but obviously no more.

Actually it is across I-65 from where the Market Place retail center was originally planned. That center had a lot of problems, not the least of which was the land itself and the railway line separating the land from Shelby52. Also, the Alabaster Promenade had already gotten underway and just covered the demographic needs of the area with frontage on both I-65 and US31, which Hayes Market Place just could not match.
It could be an ideal business park. And it is too large to overlook, especially at that interchange.

Ahh, I see. No, I do not think that the site is suitable for retail either. Business or residential is probably the way to go.
