Landscape urbanism is something that should be a major part of the planning process in any kind of urban development.

Perhaps you should have clearly explained what the topic was at first, then asked how you think it would improve the city. Or even give examples of where it has been implemented.

Well, it was kind of a random question. My dad was an architect, so it's not as if I'm totally ignorant when it comes to city planning.

Wasn't trying to imply you didn't know anything about it, but as you said, it WAS a random question.

I was suggesting that instead of asking this question broadly, it should aim more towards a point/objective. Talking to you OP.

Missteps can be good.

I followed your link and really enjoyed the article on the new pedestrian bridges along the Buffalo Bayou in Houston.

They are all beautiful and they are helping to transform the path of the waterway into an exemplary urban green space, in this, one of my favorite cities.
