Another post titled "Magic City Boulevard" made me start thinking of a way to connect the various districts around town that sometimes feel hard to connect to on weekends. Sometimes when I'm hanging out in Avondale, I feel a million miles away from my next stop that may be in Lakeview or Downtown. Why does it feel this way???

As another person mentioned, we should rename a street and join some of these. I would like to someday see Lakeview run into Avondale or something of that nature. But, for now, what are thoughts on some type of connector between all of the districts?

My vision is a streetcar that goes on a loop between Five Points South, downtown, Lakeview, Avondale, and now Parkside. Wouldn't it be nice to go to happy hour in Five Points south, hit the trolley for an early game at Region's Field, jump back on for dinner downtown, catch the next trolley for a post dinner drink at Avondale brewery, and finish the night dancing away in Lakeview? Am I just dreaming here?

Is it my imagination or is there something like that in place for New Year's Eve? But yes I understand the desire for that all year round.

I can only say that things like that only show up when the demand reaches critical levels. So maybe in about five to seven years when downtown reaches a peak of sorts with all the projects currently on the table completed.

just imagine with all the development going on with all the entertainment districts downtown (parkside, uptown, southside, lakeview, 2nd Ave N.)....some good form of public transportations that would connect all the districts would put everything going on over the top. a street car type transportations (maybe 3 or 4) along this route.... 11th Ave N west to 17th Ave N then south to 1st Ave N. passing Kelly Ingram Park then west to to 14th St. N then south to 7th Ave. S passing railroad park and region field (parkside district) then east (passing southside district, iron city/workplay area) to 28th St. S. (lakeview district) then north to 3rd Ave N. then west to 24th St S. then finally north (passing 2nd Ave. N district) to 11th Ave N (uptown)

hey urbanspacesbham....I posted this very issue back in august last year.....what you think
