No, I'm kidding. Yes, it is one of the spots I think would work - but I also think they would want to be in the burbs and would look towards Colonnade around the Galleria.

...still no reponse on my email...
Yes, they would definitely want to be in the burbs considering their current trend.

But hasn't Regions Field proven the idea of "Build it and they will come!"

Maybe some retailers will start taking notice? However, I feel like mentioning anything with an ampersand in this thread will not make Raj very happy. We're talking about Uptown!!! Haha.

I think Uptown would be a great place for Dave & Buster's, H&M, Tr&der Joe's, and Ike&

The wife and I decided to cruise through yesterday to see what was going on. Seemed like a pretty good crowd considering Cantina Laredo hasn't opened yet and Texas de Brazil was closed (for the morning, it was around 2 and they don't open until 4.) I also threw in a few shots of "da hood" adjacent to the area.

Was at the rooftop bar at The Southern....great crowd of mixed people, dancing and really enjoying themselves. There was also a sizable crowd downstairs as well. I had dinner at Todd English P.U.B, and then The Southern. The next time that I am Uptown, I will have dinner there.

Yes, the Southern definitely has a great atmosphere... Just wish they would open those doors for Sunday brunch. I'm definitely an open air bruncher...

Didn't know much about this place but from what I see so far it looks like it has some pretty tasty stuff.
Time to get phase II going.

Bottle & Bone butcher shop and deli opens today in Birmingham's Uptown entertainment district | AL.com

Quote:
The butcher shop offers a selection of local meats and sausages priced by the pound and prepared in-house by butchers Wil Drake, Victor King, Thyme Randle and Harris Brabston.
The wines, when they become available, will be arranged in racks according to what items they are best paired with -- beef, pork, fish, chicken or desserts.
In addition to the beers and wines available by the bottle, six Alabama craft beers and four wines will be served on tap.
