We will be passing through Birmingham coming from Tennessee on I65 and need to meeting someone coming in on I20 from Georgia. Where would be a good place to meet near the corridor of 65 and 20? Restaurant or Gas Station would be good. Would like safe place, traveling with all women! Thanks!

The Bass Pro/Barber's exit is just outside the perimeter and easy to navigate. The Shops at Grand River sits right there and there is a Chevron on the other side of the interstate at Rex Lake Road and 78.

Exit 140

Edit: Wait, I misunderstood you. 20/59 and 65 meet downtown, so just meet her near the BJCC in Uptown. Just tell her it is a unique left hand exit coming in from her direction to get to it. There are two hotels and several restaurants right there.

It is the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex. A Westin and a Sheraton sit right next to it, along with a cluster of restaurants.

Southern Kitchen or Mugshots would be a good casual place to have a snack and wait. Right By the Interchange dt, and easy on and off if you read the signs.
