I've noticed that for a metro with only about 1 million, Birmingham seems to have an unusual amount of traffic, especially in certain areas. Am I the only one who has noticed this ?

It is comfortably over a million and it is at the crossroads of the state and thus a major hub for truck and train traffic. A major national north-south interstate runs right down the middle, as well as a E-W route. So, I think it seems about right.

What cities of similar size don't have really heavy traffic? I haven't lived in a lot of places that are similar in size to Birmingham, but even cities smaller than Birmingham have similar bottlenecks.

This is good news! $20 Million grant to help fund the BRT. I hope details of the plans come out soon. This needs to be done right to make a difference. I hope there are also plans to increase the regular bus connection frequency. BRT won't do much if the connections are still on a 45 minute loop. Needs to be a maximum of 15 minutes.

Yes. It is good news. I think it has to be 5-15 min between buses or else the R in BRT doesn't mean anything.

Hopefully the city will learn a lot and expansion will be easy.

jesus christ, magiccity... does it not get tiring signing up for new accounts so often? You get banned and then literally the next day start posting the exact same kind of posts. You practically sign up for accounts faster than I can report them.

My problem is you keep getting banned and you keep signing up for accounts. It's annoying. You don't add to the discussion. Nobody thinks you are a new member. Just go away.

I believe that a better transportation system is crucial for the city to make bigger strides. Particularly, when it comes to attracting certain companies.

not only that, but I think he has multiple accounts on here at any given time and replies to himself.

The abhorrent grammar & spelling, combined with NO use of punctuation marks makes it pretty easy to figure this out.
