Where is ''rojo?'' What type restaurant is it? Mexican? I've heard of El Barrio but haven't been there.

El Barrio is wonderful.

Rojo is on the first floor of the Sheraton Tower on Highland Avenue across from Rushton Park. Can't be missed at night; all lighted like Xmas.
Mex-fusion, sort of.
A very popular, cliquish, neighborhood type place.

I know you get what you pay for but hate to pay high prices in the more upscale ones like La Abelita's (in other states) and seems that now even in the smaller, mom and pop Mexican restaurants that the average price is $8ish and the quantity of food is not like it was years back, much less food on the plate now. I like the basic down home places.

What about The J. Clyde? I have always like their food and atmosphere, especially if you want a beer (or two).

The Garage has good sandwiches if you are looking for something along those lines.
