It would be great if this would result in a sooner completion date.

That's discouraging, I remember reading the news for it in early 2014, while I was in Orlando. Hopefully, once they start, there's not anymore delays.

Looks like the Lyric Theater will be ready for prime time in about 6 weeks

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but the Chipotle at 20 Midtown will be opening December 14th.

Glad these guys are committed to staying in the city limits...but wish they had decided to move downtown. Still, I think lots of good office/corporate space will spring up at Grandview and Liberty Park here soon.

Quote:
HealthSouth will be relocating its corporate headquarters to a new building within the Birmingham city limits.

The company plans to move in the spring of 2018 from its current location at Grandview Plaza to a 20-acre spot of land at Liberty Park, where a 200,000-square-foot facility will be constructed.

"Maintaining HealthSouth's corporate headquarters in the City of Birmingham reaffirms our commitment to the continued growth of our city and the region," he said in a statement. "As we assessed relocation alternatives, we wanted new offices that would be conveniently located for the majority of our employees while providing an open and efficient work environment that would meet our current and future space needs. The new location meets these criteria."

I think a lot of these office buildings near Grandview may turn into medical office buildings soon now that the hospital is open.

Agree about wishing HealthSouth had chosen downtown.

Hobby Lobby, Fresh Market, others coming to Trussville – The Trussville Tribune
Not sure if this should be placed here or not, but there's another development going up, off of I-59 now, it's not only in Odenville.

270 units at Patchwork Farms. This along with the Publix and 4700 Colonnade, not to mention the hospital, is going to make the Acton Rd/Cahaba River Rd intersection awfully busy.
