Might be difficult with the railroad tracks right there between 32nd and 41st. I could see more up until 32nd though.

In disheartening news, it’s disappointing to see our OTM neighbor have their plan to change downtown zoning shot down by people that don’t know what they’re talking about:

I like SoHo, but supporters of shooting this down talk about it like it’s the paradigm of greatness. That area would be even better with a better mix of residents living there.

I don't understand the benefit of rezoning to 3. I mean less is more, I get that. But why would they limit building height to 5 stories? Why is there even a darn limit? 11 stories currently isn't that tall but still, just why? Seems like it's just capping Homewood's development.

So what exactly is your stance on the issue? That residents who live and pay taxes in Homewood don't know what they are talking about while developers who are pushing efforts to rezone so they can make more money are... saints?

Post Office Pies is opening a new location in Lane Park. It'll be interesting to see if POP and Melt opening 2nd locations in the metro causes any decline in business at the original Avondale locations.

NIMBYism will destroy anything when it gets to that level. As a result you wind up with an affordable and racially and economically homogeneous disaster.
