What's so bad about Seasons 52? I like it quite alright.

And to take it a step further... what's so bad about corporate chains? You realize that chains become chains because they have a business model that works, right? People think they are so much better for drinking microbrews over a beer with a bigger market share. If the microbrew was such a great value that so many people wanted, they'd make more of it and it wouldn't be a microbrew.

I see chain restaurants that thrive similarly. If nobody liked it, they wouldn't keep opening locations and people wouldn't keep eating there.

(Although I guess Whetstone didn't like it and ate there again so maybe I'm way offbase...)

He's just a serial troll.

I've eaten at Seasons 52. It's not bad at all. It's kind of a good option for business travelers who don't know the local dining landscape. But if I had my druthers for food in that area, I'd eat at FoodBar or Fig Tree or Satterfields less than a half mile away, get a better meal, and not require CPR when I got the tab. Plus I'm supporting local restaurateurs that way.

Some renderings below. The first portion from 32nd St. to Avondale will be huge for that M2 Development at the Old Car Heaven building. I believe Ghost Train is adding a second location there. Several other surrounding warehouses have redevelopment potential as well. Could also see some multifamily development pop up around there. The Continental Gin Extension also looks like a cool project (see rendering)- making new use of an alleyway. Looks like some great new small residential development opportunity in that stretch. The brewery bike trail is happening! (Cahaba, Avondale, Back 40, Ghost Train, Good People, Monday Night).

I-20/59 west between arkadelphia hwy exit and avenue I exit (that terrible, rough section of the interstate) is in the beginning stage of getting repaved. Aldot started on it this past week. They are scraping the old surface off at the moment.

I haven't been through Birmingham in a year and half and I drove through last night and what a change there has been on I59/20, I was dreading the rough 4 lane highway last night but was happy to see that it has been repaved and that they are repaving more of the awful road. Also, the new bridge lights are so gorgeous
