You know, I never thought about it that way! I think it will be a huge hit with the metro area! Sorta like Railroad Park. The whole Uptown district is really coming to life with all the new development.

Yeah, right now, people don't understand the size of this park from one end to the other. Literally from the junction interchange to the the railroad tracks by CraneWorks. That's a lot of walking. Driving over it make it seem like it's not that long. But once you get on ground level, totally different. Your best bet is to pick a block to explore one day and come back another time and explore the others. Trying to hit every block in a day, you going to be wore out by the end of day.

Considering how many times Slossfest turned into a muddy mess, this would be great for spring/summer events.

Truthfully, it will be a natural site for a farmers' market/flea market.

fortunately, the new bridge decks are much higher off the ground as well, so it shouldn't feel as cavernous underneath.

Love it. I just worry about the noise from the overpasses. I know the design is designed for lower noise but are there any other parks under overpasses in any city?

someone shared this article a while back, perhaps in a different thread. looks like skateparks are a common theme:

11 ugly urban underpasses now functioning as public parks
