Hi everyone. Is Alabam Adventure worth a trip if you only have a short time? Thanks in advance for the advice!

I take my little one there every summer....the park has two sub-parks: 1) Waterpark and 2) traditional amusement park.

Waterpark is very good...two excellent tall tubing rides plus a vertical plunge that you do on your back....great wavepool and a nice 'lazy river' for those with young children....Also for young children is the 'water tower' which is a metal framework of climbs and slides....good all the way for kids who love water.

The amusement park is not very extensive but what they have is pretty good. An excellent wooden roller coaster, plus a vertical drop ride as well as a metal twister ride...other than that, not much else....

Unless you are a rollercoaster and vertical drop fan, I'd just go to the Waterpark...

Yes, it is worth the trip, especially if you have small children!!! This park has all the potential in the world and should grow into something very nice since it has been bought by a group of big spenders with experience in the business.

We bought a season pass two weeks ago and went for the first time last weekend. We only hit the water theme park, but it seems like a really nice venue.

I enjoyed reading that you guys had a good time! I definitely make it a habit to enjoy myself whenever I can go. Here's a website I found some time ago where you can post your trip report to help others get a good picture of what the park is like from a guest's standpoint:

Alabama Adventure Guide.com :: Index (http://alabamaadventureguide.com/forums/ - broken link)

See you there when you can visit!!!
