We went to a sushi restaurant in Homewood, when we visited. It was close to the Panera. Quite nice.

Default Homewood...

the Japanese restaurant Jensei (pronounced jen-sigh I believe) is very good. My husband and I go there a lot. You can sit at the sushi station and watch as everyone's food is made. DH recently ate at Morimoto's restaurant in Philly and he said that the sushi at Jensei comes pretty close in quality to what he tried at Morimoto's place. Wish I could give specific suggestions on what to order, but we both have to figure it all out again when we get there. Kadoma tuna is the standout- gotta try that!

Also, gotta dig the David-Bowie-esque japanese sushi chef! (Shhh-that's a secret, don't tell my husband)

Ginza, hands down. It's on Valleydale, just off 280. Their Korean BBQ is wonderful also.

Getting sushi that's good and affordable can be a difficult task, since good fish and other ingredients are inherently expensive (especially for inland land-lubbers such as ourselves)
Check out this site for some help.

Sorry folks - thanks to Japanese friends we eat in when it comes to sushi. Some of the fish comes out of the lake in the neighborhood. Tokyo on Hwy 31 has decent ingredients but HMart in Duluth is it.
