Does anyone have a general, up-to-date opinion of this place?

Me and 2 friends are trying to find a good 3 bedroom apartment near the Samford/UAB area, and we really enjoyed what we saw when we stopped by there.

But we are curious to what it's like at night when you are trying to go to sleep and what not.

Anyway, if you have any information, that would be great!

We liked those apts, too, but location ended up not working for us. We did drive around the complex and randomly stop and talk to people as they were getting into their cars to get their opinions. Talked to 2 people, and they had positive remarks. I suggest you try that.

How did the location mess it up for you? And where did you end up going?

We ended up deciding based on jobs that the Hoover location would be better for us. And then, we stumbled upon a great deal at Riverchase Landing...huge apartments (close to 1500 sq ft) on special for $649/mo (normally they are around $800 I think). That sold us! Been here 2 months and so far, quite happy!

Are you still enjoying the apartments at Riverchase? They looked nice online. But it's always nice to get an idea from somebody who is actually there. How is the noice, managemenet, maintence...? Any bug problems or anything? My husband and I won't be able to fly down to look for apartments before we move there so we're looking online.

Thank you!

Yes, we are still enjoying living here. Management and maintenance have been great so far. Any time I have had a maintenance issue it has been fixed immediately. Have not seen one bug yet! (knock on wood)

It was nice and quiet until a new neighbor moved in recently across from us. Unfortunately, they are loud, and it can be quite annoying. Neighbors complained, and management sent a notice around our building about respecting quiet hours. Since then, noise (music) from their apartment has been under much better control. They still, however, come in to the parking lot with music blaring from their vehicle and then sit there for some time (I have no idea why), letting it boom-boom-boom. This is not during quiet hours, so not really sure I can make a legitimate complaint.

Other than the new obnoxious neighbor, we love it here! We figure it's part of what you just have to deal with if you choose apartment living. Luck of the draw who moves in next to you, I guess.

Good luck!
