Consolidated some debt...new effective budget...
Quote:
I think I did the right thing without making it hurt more than needed...The lottery is kind of stupid, but is the only way I can ever possibly make a windfall from to get me out of this mess...you gotta be in it if you think of winning it.
And my subscriptions keep me sane..I haven't been to a movie or concert in at least 12 years...
I NEVER eat out...I don't drink,smoke,f**k..own jewelry,guns...I rarely leave the house;though I've had some relapses to one of the activities that got me in trouble 15-20 years ago.
So all I can do is do the best that I can do...I'll try.Posted 06-22-2022 at 01:00 PM by TNSLPPTSO13 -

The last thing you need to be doing is buying lottery tickets or paying for subscriptions.Posted 06-17-2022 at 09:20 PM by MoNative34 -
Agonizing about that most likely I will have to file bankruptcy.
I'm sorry to ever hear that somebody has to file for bankruptcy. It can be a big hit to recover from, but most likely is an easy way to avoid the avoidable. Imagine making thousands a month in interest payments. That would be a nice change.Posted 04-14-2022 at 06:16 PM by Squidlife -

Money spent in 2021
No flaming here from me.
Taking a brutal look at spending is a brave thing.
Reflecting on the areas where you spent funds to feed your choices of wants is also brave.
Thank you for speaking on your choice to gamble.
The Covid years greatly reduced my own spending on gambling.
Thankfully I was able to see for the first time how much I had been spending in prior years and how I felt it was my one thing I could do solo and to decompress from my very intense job. In 2020 I did a tracking of my expenses versus income and I retired in July of 2020.
The brutal truth was that my medical costs were too high fir my income.
I worked the fall on the Census.
I was eligible for unemployment and I banked it in savings and with the shut down and my poor health I was not able find additional work.
So I have been loosely following Dave Ramsey and cut expenses.
Thankfully only a year to Medicare eligibility.
Hang in there and keep revising your plan as you can.
Cheers.Posted 02-23-2022 at 10:53 PM by Poppins101 -
