That was when we had Mayors who cared about the quality of life of the people of NYC. Now you and the wealthy wife might be out for a stroll and get shot by some Looting fools who should be in Rikers Island . Good luck with your Wealth in the New Detroit . Sometimes wealth doesn’t help.

That’s a Big Fat non truth. Look at prices of Park Slope townhomes they have been falling from the highs since 2017. People can’t sell houses for more then they paid and many have taken loses on the homes.
Check out 601 2 street Brooklyn NY 11215
This owner lost about 700k in 1 year after Real estate transfer taxes and agent fees.

I don’t think so, the loses will be coming . Also I don’t think people will forget this anytime soon. Before this all happened Manhattan Real estate was a mess . Amazon killed the Commercial retail business and it is forever gone....

My wife and I life well within our means, to the point where people think I'm nuts for rarely buying clothes, accessories, small luxuries etc. Still, we could only barely get by nowadays on my salary alone and I make a pretty damned good living.

This is just the nature of NYC. I'd much prefer her to be home taking care of the kids.
