Big Plans
Proverbs 19:21- Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.- This happens to us all, we plan something but things come out differently. When this happens it might be because God has something else in mind for us. We may not agree with him and think that our idea is better, but he will always have his way. He made the plan to save us from all our sins by sending his son Jesus to "give his life as a ransom for many" (Mark 10:45.) at the time of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden after they fell into sin. It must have been very hard for God to send his only son whom he loves deeply to die on a cross as a man but he was the only one that could do it. God takes our sins very seriously, but he also loves us and wants to save us. As the time for his crucifixion drew near Jesus was understandably getting scared and asked his father if he could be excused from his plan because he knew what was ahead of him, and he probably would have rather done something else that day other than being nailed to a cross by the Romans, who made sure it would hurt as much as possible. - "Abba, Father," he said, "everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will." (Mark 14:36.) - He wanted to obey his father and do his will, so he went willingly and paid for the sins of everyone on that cross. God came up with the plan for our salvation because of his great love for us and his refusal for all people to be lost. His is the only way he'll accept for the forgiveness of our sins, and now because of the work of his son on the cross, God is accessible to us 24-7 by faith in Jesus. God's free gift of salvation is available to anyone who will reach out and take it. Saving us was the greatest plan he ever made. What About Jesus?
