that's actually a relative bargain in Bimmer-world. The bean counters in Munich actually have the gall to charge over $1000 for their back-up camera on the 3-series. They consider it an Option, even when you've spent $2800 on their lame Navigation Package. Talk about nickel & diming....

That actually seems pretty cheap to me, I've seen carbon fiber steering wheels going for $1500 that have none of the electronic functions that thing does.

Still not worth $1700 IMO.
