Thinking of relocating to Eagle. I've seen several references to the quaint old time street lights in real estate ads for Eagle. But is that only in the down town areas? Are the sub-divisions streets also lit?

It depends on the sub-division and what the kind of street lighting the developer constructs. Its all different types of lighting from one sub-division to the other. And some areas have the old type of street lights.

I moved from Mesa, AZ., were the county and city requires all the sub-divisions to have the same type of bright yellow street lights, and lots of them. Very good for driving at night. So I find the Treasure Valley,(Eagle included), to be weak on street lighting, and dark at night for driving. But this is good for star gazing.

Thank you for your reply, jwest09. At least we know the sub have some kind of lighting.

We lived in Billings Montana for several years. It was pitch black at night in our subdivision until we finally put up our own light.

Eagle is a very dark town. street lights outside the downtown are the right angle metal type.
