is this bar near the Boise River and 27th street gay friendly or just a gay bar. My sister told me guys act strange in there and huddle in groups acting real weird. What has anyone heard about this reclusive old time bar in Boise?

I know people like bringing their dogs there, but is it a gay bar? Or are you getting it confused with the Lucky Dog four or five blocks down Fairview that caters to gays? It's in an odd location no matter what.

Ramenfan has it correct- the luckydog is a gay bar the symposion Is just an out of the way bar that allows friendly dogs has strong drinks and a vast assortment of different kinds of patrons I haven't been in years But it was a fum bar for the nights that you didn't feel like being in the chaos of downtown

I've been to the Symp recently. When straight dudes get drunk they do strange things with each other especially when they outnumber the ladies in this bar at least 5 to 1. It is a cool hang, just kind of smelly because dogs are allowed and who knows where they pee at.
