While I am not a teacher, I believe that if Boise is the right place for you it makes sense to find a way to make that happen. I set my sights on living here in 2009. Took me about a year before I could make it happen because jobs ARE tight. However, you don't need a job market, you need one job that will pay you enough to live. With a master's degree it's possible you could do some adjunct work at the community college. If you are open to online teaching you could start doing that from where you live now to get your toes in. That's what I did. You might try applying at College of Western Idaho | Community College, Workforce Development, Professional and Technical Training in the Treasure Valley CWI is NOT in a position to hire any full time faculty right now because of their budget woes, but they DO hire lots of adjuncts. Just a thought.

Thank you for all the tips. I am still looking for a job and trying to decide what the right move would be.
