Hi everyone,
New to the area and am in great need of a new hair person! I'm looking for someone(s) who does a good color weave and good haircuts - and reasonably-priced if that's possible.
Thanks!

Check out The Electric Chair and/or DV8 in downtown Boise.

Other options... Jeremy at Crave in downtown and Erin at Euphoria in Hyde Park. Also, Bliss salon is good up more on the rim. I think it is on Garden street.

Best Salons are Graeber & Company, downtown, or Montage Salon. Both kind of pricey though.

Found a great hair salon in Boise!
Hi everyone!
I ended up getting my hair done at Metropolis in Boise, 18 N. Orchard St., ph. 322-6556. I called the other folks and they turned out to be more than I can spend right now-but would love to be able to go to a day spa soon (Just moved here and not working yet..yikes!!)!
Fortunately, Michelle at Metropolis (she owns the cute shop that's been coverted from a house) turned out to be GREAT!! The weave color I think has to be one of the best colors I've ever gotten and the cut is great too! The price is reasonable as well.
Thanks again!

Heh. The chance that stylists, thier relatives and friends seeing this thread are pretty high. I like to ask ladies who they go to when I see a wonderful cut and style. Oftentimes they tell me it is a family member or friend that is not in the business.
My best haircuts and styles have come from Artists. Artists that work from home (word-of-mouth only to ensure good customers!) Or stylists that keep going to the best schools (not the cheap schools). One was in I-Magnins in the San Francisco Bay area. Not too expensive considering what I got!
When you see someone with hair something like your own done wonderfully, stop the person and exclaim. That person will likely be SO pleased to hear how wonderful s/he looks and TELL you. She may run on and on and tell you everything and more than you thought to ask.
BTW, the "Best of the Treasure Valley" will be in The Stateman before too long. Best Mechanic, restaurant, hair styling, massage, spa, theater, furniture store ... let's all watch for it.

Diane - I also go to Michelle, and yes she is fabulous and reasonably priced! Glad you found her. She's been doing color weaves for me for years and I always get compliments on my hair. She has a website - Metropolis Boise
