When it snows does the streets get cleared quickly? We would be driving to CWI College in Nampa and don't want to get snowed in.

Thank you for the information. It's good to know that the city takes care of the highways.

The problem is that Nampa uses sand only. They do not use de-icer. Where would you be driving from?

We are either going to live in Meridian or Star (we haven't decided yet).

If you're from the Midwest or East Coast the snow here won't be an issue, you'll wonder what the fuss is about. Snow in Boise isn't bad at all, however if you want to go up in the mountains be prepared for the possibility of snow from October till May.

We live in Minnesota and it snows a lot here but the city is good about clearing the highways and the surface streets.

FYI - but not so much for the residential areas. IMHO, the bigger problem is the transplant drivers who don't know how to drive in the snow.
