planning to move to Boise area. (Nampa: affordable house, find a job, school districts)

I am currently live in Oklahoma, 4 years already, I am from Asian,have one 8 years old girl, I am especially scared of tonadom earthquake, OK has a long hot summer, winter snow storm, spring tornado, also has earthquake. no reason stay here. I work in school so far, help the special kids. I dont have high expectation, I hope

1. a good school area, both good for me ( can still find a school job) and my daughter.

2,. affordable house( around $120,000)

3 friendly people,
4.easy to go around, have airport, train( is there any amtrak?)

5. not too hot in summer...tired of hot in OK

1) good schools - yes, but hard to find a job in education right now.
2) in certain parts of town 120k will get you a home, but that is changing.
3) friendly people - this depends on where you are from and your expectations. Some say yes, some say no.
4) Train? no Public transportation? yes, but not effective Easy to get around? by car
5) Very hot in the summer months.

Thanks. I think I can find a job, I did some search, i am interested in NAMPA, BOISE . BUT I think Boise probably has more job. How far from the center of Nampa to Boise city?

If in Boise, which school district is good, but house is not too high( just about $120,000)?

or just give me some advice, which area I should live in ID? tks

Living in Nampa would be great for finding a nice house for cheap, but the schools in Boise will be better.
The commute from the center of Nampa to the center of Boise is about 25 minutes without traffic.

I'll wait for some other people to talk about which school districts are the best performing ones since I don't have any kids and don't know too much about which schools are best.
