I am looking at a house in the Foothills East neighborhood and was wondering if anyone on here has lived there or has information about the area. I'm from Boise but have been gone a long time and don't know anyone who has lived there recently. I'm not worried about snow and the hills just want to get a feel for the neighborhood. Is it kid friendly? Are people out walking dogs etc? Is it really quiet? Those sorts of things.
Great area. Not as active with people out and about as the flatter parts of the east end, but still friendly, with great access to everything. There are some good deals in that area for homes that need updating. Homes that have been remodeled command a respectable price so it's an area where you can feel comfortable making improvements. Raintree sub is right adjacent to Foothills East and isn't really separated when people refer to Foothills East--it's all the same area. You'll be in the best schools in town, too. Hard to go wrong there!
