Hi everybody. We are currently living in Nevada, right outside of Las Vegas. Due to having 2 young children we are seeking a better/safer city to raise our children.

My question today is geared more toward those who moved from outside of Idaho to Idaho.

How is the quality if healthcare/specialist/Doctors/ hospitals & so on in Boise compared to larger cities or wherever you moved from?

Originally we lived in New York and had great healthcare. Plenty of doctors to choose from and some of the best hospitals. When we moved to Las Vegas- it was like night & day!

The healthcare system in Las Vegas is a joke!!

Any info on Boise Healthcare would be great!!

Thanks!!

Check out those websites that grade hospitals (not allowed to link things on this forum I don't think). They give you hospital scores and how they stack up nationally and state wide. It should give you a good idea of healthcare.

The Boise area has good healthcare, but it isn't so good in more remote and rural areas. Also Boise is a great place to raise a family. Best of luck!
