I think we have decided to settle into Boise, but now I need an apartment in the East Junior High attendance area of boise. Probably a 6-12 month lease as we get settled. Any suggestions? School starts 8/25, so I am the worst planner ever.

The Boise school district has open enrollment. You could live anywhere and send your kids to whatever school you please.

I recently checked out Carriage Crossing Apts, rent was too high for me, but it was super clean with nice amenities and in a nice area of town. It is only a few minutes from downtown. I think it falls in Les Bois Jr. High district, but is a fairly quick drive to East Jr. High.

Glad you liked Carriage Crossing, we've been considering that as well as a transitional step before we buy in the Boise area. Its pretty much right across the street from Timberline H.S. which is a plus since we are considering Timberline.

Open enrollment means that we can later move to the North End and still have our daughter attend Timberline? Or, if we change our mind, live in the Timberline boundary and go to Boise HS?

Correct, boundaries are determined by the School District, not the school. They can enroll in any school as long as there is room, which shouldn't be a problem in SE Boise. IF a student is outside the school (bus) boundaries they have to provide their own transportation. Again, usually not a problem in HS, but something to know.
