So happy that you found your new home; I have followed your search. My husband and I are moving to Eagle in late April when our home is ready for move-in. We are from So-Cal; he is retiring and loves Idaho, attended college there many years ago. Anyway, the best to you and we should start an ex-CA group!

I was in SoCA, Beaumont/Banning area and was thinking about moving to Menifee or Murrieta, but moved to the ugly desert of Pahrump, NV! Been here 20 months. So now I'm planning on moving to Nampa this summer. We should start a group!

When I lived out in Nampa, that is one thing I remember most distinctly. Depending on the wind, you could smell it all over Nampa. I didn't notice it much in south Nampa or after you got over the rise near Garrity exit...
Yay! My new home is Southeast of the Garriety exit. Beets are good for you, but prefer not to smell them all the time.

I just came back and didn't have much luck finding anything! I didn't know that Nampa has a 2 dog limit law! I have 3. Caldwell allows 3. So I looked at some new homes on the Caldwell/Nampa boarder. Picked a community and floor plan, but haven't made up my mind. So I'm trying to decide how important it is for me to move there. Because Caldwell was not in my plans.

I really loved it. No stress compared to NV! Most of the people were nice, except Mr. Sandman in Meridian where I stayed was bad. Their breakfast in the morning was terrible! No elevator, I had to lug my bags up the stairs, no help! The staff was not helpful or caring at all.

My realtor that I had made plans with 3 weeks before, was only available for 1 day instead of 2 1/2!!

Even after all of that I still liked it there.

I had a great RE agent! Spent lots of time with me, both on-line and off. Let me know if you want her name, company name, etc.

More homes will become available as the weather warms!!
