Lived in Kuna for about 5 years. It's a nice place. About 30 min. to the airport, but depends on what time ya go.
It is definatly NOT Boy-zee. That is the way we tell if anyone is an outsider.

Thanks, do you prefer Meridian to Kuna?

I've only been able to visit Boise, Eagle, Nampa, and Caldwell so far, so just trying to get a little better feel for the area. My big priority is a peaceful neighborhood and a downtown that encourages walking and shopping would be a big plus.

I think I like Meridian better, but just because it is closer to places I like to go. As for window shopping, Boise has it hands down. You will find peaceful neighborhoods in all the ares you mentioned, but will have some better than others. Just like any other place.

You know it is funny that you mention how you can tell an outsider. Here in the san joaquin valley of CA...we are major almond farms, blue diamond. The locals spell it the same but it is how you say it that matters (ammend) is how the farmers say it.

Are there any other local phrases that are like that? By the way we have been looking at Meridian, kuna, and boise bench. Gave up on IF to much wind and snow. Emmetts sounds like it is a difficult commute in the winter. Any feedback on boise bench or emments?

Izzy

In my opinion, the best areas to live in the Boise area are Eagle, Meridian, Kuna, and the Boise Bench. Nampa has a lot of nice areas also, but I wouldn't like driving the freeway. I always use the back roads when I can.
