My mother and I are planning to move from San Jose, CA to Boise for many reasons. I am pretty conservative but my family members who lean left claimed that Boise is "redneck racist and has low pay". They even said that everyone is moving to CA from ID which is not true.
Judging from opinions from this website and the research I have done, I believe Boise is a nice, beautiful, quiet and safe place. I have lived in CA for all of my life and I feel the place is getting worst as crime is rising, illegals are making our neighborhood worse, lots of people on welfare, rude and loud neighbors and cars with loud boomboxes passing our area everyday.
My mother has been looking for a job in Boise for a few months and hasn't found one yet but when she does, we will move after we visit the area for a week looking for 2-bedroom apartments. But I am looking forward to Boise as a relief from CA and am looking forward to enjoying the peace and quiet over there. I need some advice and info about Boise and debunk all of the negative perceptions about it. I also need some advice if employers here are willing to accept out of state workers.
