Looking to retire to Boise or surrounding town .... Any runners that can point us to areas that have an open track to the public? A really important feature for me and my hubbie. Here in Kentucky 99% of the schools lock out the public, even tho our tax dollars pay for their fancy schools/tracks. Wanting to move somewhere that is accommodating to senior runners! Appreciate any info in this regard...

I think they all let you run on their track.

I don't even run on tracks and I've somehow found myself on East Boise Jr. High, Timberline, Bishop Kelly, and Boise High.

Yep, they are all open.

Many runners prefer our foothills trails or greenbelt for running. Trailheads are right in town behind Camel's Back park, greenbelt has access all along the river.

I've used the Boise High track--it's great, but so are others.

VinceS a regular in this forum is an avid runner and if you private message him I'm sure he will give you tons of information.
