Instead of creating a new thread every time I post a get together, I thought it best to create one thread and I'll just post here when something is being planned.

I recently went on a trolley tour of Boise, very interesting. Lots of history and fun facts about Boise, and Idaho in general.
Highly recommend! Also had lunch at Elmer's, pretty good!

Oh, I hope you had a good time! Isn't the trolley operator a hoot!? I wish now, that I'd recorded her as there was so much interesting info. that I'd like to look up on-line, but it went by so fast. Or, maybe it's just that I'm getting old.
I may be helping out with the "New to Boise" group, so if anyone has any ideas of events, tours, locations, etc. you've enjoyed, as a newcomer, or even if you've were born and raised here, please pass them on!

Oh, here's another interesting spot...it's actually a lot smaller than I'd anticipated, but a fun way to spend an hour or two.
The Hyde Park area of Boise, a few cute shops. Check out Hyde and Seek (more for women, guys might be bored), and right across the street from them is a pretty good restaurant. Small toy store there too, but I didn't go inside. Only a few stores, wish there were more, but worth a look if you're in the area.

What they need is a great brewery! :-)

Thanks, BB2012, we did enjoy our tour. We were the only ones on the bus. There were several others that had booked but they didn't show up. The guide is very entertaining. Sure have been a lot of mischievous teens in Boise history!
