Hi all,

I have about 5-10 years before I retire but I work from home so I'd be coming with a job. What I'm wondering is if Boise is a good fit for middle age single folks. I'm a 59 year old female looking for a quitter pace of life. I work in technology and would like to balance that with beauty and LOVE mountains. Everything I'm reading looks like a perfect fit for me. Any thoughts?

Thanks!!

I wish 59 was middle aged! Only if you live to be 118 (and I hope you do!).

Don't know where you'll be coming from, but Idaho in general, is a quieter and more peaceful pace of life than many other States.

I'm from the tech field also, and came here for some of the same reasons, I think you'll find that there is plenty to do, see and enjoy...including a lot of other "middle-aged" people.

Yup, same here. But, like I keep telling a friend of mine who is 65, when you reach 75, you'll wish you were 65 again! Carpe diem!

Keep in mind that my definition of "old age" is "half way between your present age and 100".

Heck I'm 73 and feel and act like I'm middle age. Last year bought a Polaris RZR and the wife and I enjoy seeing the "real" Idaho and the Owyhees in Oregon.
