Don't know about the styles and differences; however, I saw a posting the other day about Tai Chi at the YMCA for Arthritis. There are several different martial arts studios throughout the valley with their own different specialties. I suggest Google and then calling several studios and then going for a personal visit. Some have more contact than others which may or may not be a factor for you.
