We may have to ship our Kia Soul from Florida to Boise. I see prices from $1400 to $2200. I'm more concerned with a company's reputation though. Anyone recently ship a car to Boise and if so who did you use?
Thanks,
Dart

You might also post or check the City-Data forum specifically for moving issues. It's listed under the General Forums. Lots of posts on U-Pack, pods, car shipping, how to pack, etc. I found this forum helpful during our relocation in addition to the Boise forum.

Welcome to Boise and hope there are no major hiccups along the way. So much to coordinate, I remember it well!

Thanks, I am checking those other forums too. We have not moved in 20 years!

I had a quote from Southern California to Eagle about $550.00 for an SUV.

We used Coast to Coast Auto Transport | because they are local to Kuna, ID and are actual transporters and not just the middle man/broker. They have excellent reviews. Our car got here before we did and they stored it at their lot and delivered it to our door once we were in town. They weren't the cheapest option but definitely made things less stressful during a stressful move. Check to see if they offer your route and get a quote over the phone.

I want to add that another plus was that I was able to book things weeks in advance vs a broker which I used in a previous move that only let me book and confirm a few days before because they would find cheaper prices that way on trucks that had last minute space (to increase their profit margin).

Thanks, I appreciate the info. As it turns out, I think I will sell our older car, a 2004 Honda Element with 136,000 miles and just drive our Kia Soul out. Maybe try to buy a second vehicle once we get to Boise.
